Rebel you were our first love How loyal you could be When we came home from work you'd say "Fuss me, fuss me, fuss me" While you were a youngster We allowed you to run free You had a friend called Ben He would bring you back to me You'd swim in the Marina We'd keep you on a flexi When you got out you'd shake Then say "Don't I look sexy" In the garden left alone You wouldn't go astray Until we got Nikita And she showed you the way You jumped the fence for apples "Come back please" we'd say We even chased you round and round On our wedding day Then along came Bonni She was your racing pal You did quite well together Even though she was a gal! You retired quite young at eight Your back gave you some pain "But that's OK" you said "No more running in the rain" Maz

How handsome can a Ski boy be? Terribly handsome, the opinion from me He can be as handsome as the day is long He'll even serenade you with his song He'll be your companion, morning, noon and night Or he'll go to bed out of sight All he wants to do is please Which he seems to do with the greatest ease He seems to always do his best Even when we put him to the test Out in front in single lead He's ran around Cannock and done the deed He's helped by his sisters, both black and white They will also pull with all their might They ran so quick they got first place We can't deny the feeling's ace But whatever the result when they get back We still love them lots, they're part of our pack We will look after them , even when they are old They've given us too much for us to be cold Out again they want to train If it was eight days a week they wouldn't complain For the last line, let's go back to Ski Just how handsome can a Ski boy be? Laska is a good girl She doesn't do much wrong When she's in the garden She'll dig holes all day long She's always such an angel And such a dream to own We let her pinch our tea And she sometimes gets a bone Her favourite occupation Is to wear her harness and run She tries to throw her dad off And she does that just for fun One day she saw some horses They were just stood in the way She decided to take a short cut And probably saved the day The short cut that she took Was a bit of a suicide track But her dad held on with all his might And Laska brought them back The trouble is with Laska Next time she did the same "NO" was heard throughout the forest And an unrepeatable name The next time round the forest Her brother went in lead This was to determine The left turn we did not need Although we have no favourites They're all special in some way We would not be without them Not even for a day Maz |

It started back in ninety nine Laska saw Xaros and all was fine We waited four weeks and had a scan The answer was YES, there would be trouble for Dan
Five weeks later and bang on time Puppies were born and Laska's a swine After a moment she came around And to be a good mum, she was bound
Laska made sure they were warm and fed And cuddled them closely in her warm bed She'd go down the lane if you picked up her lead But only half way, then to return she would plead
Five little bundles, two dogs and three bitches To watch them grow up, they'd have you in stitches All very special in their own way All very precious we treasure each day
All growing well, time to learn how to run Four show potential, very well done One not so good, understand she does not But what the heck, we love her a lot!
Time to start training, yes with a rig You wouldn't believe it, the boys are so big At first, they're teamed with an older one But it's not long before that option's gone
Too fast for the others, four train together They want to go running whatever the weather The start is so crazy, everyone's mad Countdown, let go mum, hold on tight dad
The time has come to start to race Two boys together, a heck of a pace They need some help to find the way Then remember the circuit for the next day
It's not long now before they start to win Not to train in bad weather would be a sin Their first year running and they take D Class Championship won, how the trophies amass
Their second year comes in the racing world It would be a three dog team and include a girl A run at Kings Forest, their best they would try They came in first and saw Amanda cry
Then up at Tentsmuir things start to go wrong A neck clip in the eye for Chignik Long A re-think on collars is on the way But Chigs is eager to run the very next day
All we want is the team to have fun It doesn't really matter how fast they run One day that year, firsts the whole lot Even the one that understand she did not
With B Class sewn up, Ali had the pick of the bunch But for that tak-tik we had a hunch We trained them well and kept them fit We battled with weather so they could do their bit
The rig was in question for the last race Dad nursed it round and they took first place What to do now, another championship won Will we still train, with the rally season done?
Everyone knows we've done our best When the summer comes we'll have a rest Lots of cuddles then they start to mow Yes! Getting the tracks ready to Go-Go-Go! Maz

We've an ok mum And a soft touch dad Between you and us They're both barking mad Lots of time spent Both spraying and mowing Is it in vain? Are the thistles still growing? We'll lay back and wait 'till they say it's alright Then mum and dad You're in for a fright! It was early August When they said "ok" We would all behave And make their day Small teams at first To control the speed We don't know that rule And would take no heed Then a dryish September Good we'd get fit Rendlesham in November Just might be a hit A hit it would be Despite the bad weather We all did well 'cos we all pull together Rain in November Did the trail no good Training's a no go When the surface is mud We missed out a bit Just here and there Then a rally is cancelled So we'd catch up, beware On two wheels at John's Was half the time spent Lucky to get back With nothing bent We've enjoyed ourselves All of the season Just one rally missed Takotna the reason We threw dad off When we did Pillar Wood He landed on grass Couldn't find any mud Well that's it for now Another long rest Then again we will put Mum and dad to the test!
